What a year it has been for RDH Mining Equipment! With the current boom in the mining industry and the organizational transformation that we have experienced, 2011 has turned out to be a very significant year for our company. A few of the highlights of the past year include:
- In April, our company underwent a change of ownership with Neil Edward, Jeannot Courchesne, Gustavo Portalier and Kevin Fitzsimmons buying out former owner Rick Lemieux.
- Our company participated in over 10 mining exhibitions from the CIM in Montreal to Expomin in Antofagasta Chile.
- Our first Regional Sales Manager, Roger Lemieux, was appointed to provide equipment and parts sales to the Ontario and Quebec regions.
- We joined the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce to become actively involved in efforts to promote the healthy economic development of our community.
- We put out more equipment this year than we had ever put out in the company’s history. This was accomplished without missing a single delivery date!
- We have invested in the company’s infrastructure. We have added five trucks to our fleet of service vehicles, with more vehicles on the road to provide service when and where it is needed. We are updating software systems to provide faster, more efficient service to our customers. We have renovated and expanded our employee lunch and changing areas to accommodate our growing workforce.
- We established the following foreign dealerships:
- Canros Trading Inc. for Russia
- Garaton Pty. Ltd for the continent of Africa
- Minco for Chile
- RDH won the Gold Ontario Global Trader Award for Market Expansion in September 2011 at the Ontario Business Achievement Awards in Toronto.
We would like to thank you for supporting RDH Mining Equipment throughout 2011. Based on our current projections we are expecting to have an even better year in 2012.
